The problem with online PDF tools
For over a decade, when someone needed to extract three pages from a document or split a duplex scan, the only options were downloading heavy, expensive enterprise software suites or searching for a free online converter.
Traditional online converters routinely upload user documents to remote cloud servers. These files frequently include Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, income tax returns, corporate financials, and medical test records. Leaving such sensitive records on external servers creates severe vulnerability to data breaches and privacy violations.
To make matters worse, most commercial services impose intrusive ads, strict daily limits (like 2 files per day), and aggressive recurring subscription popups.
